Curriculum Vitae

Born in Roana (VI), 30.8.1946; graduated in Physics, 21.7.1969. From 20.6.1983 associate professor, disciplinary group Structure of Matter, at the Università degli Studi di Milano. Moved to the Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca, Material Science Departement, 1.11.98.


Professor of “Solid state optical spectroscopy” (6CFU) and “Solid state and electronics laboratory” (8CFU) for the master (2° level  degree) in physics.


The field of research is the optical spectroscopy of solids (absorption, photoluminescence, electroluminescence), applied to the study at first of insulator, and than mainly of semiconductors. In particular the work is devoted to the electronic properties of materials and structures of interest for microelectronics and optoelectronics: semiconductors, their alloys, and low dimensional structures (quantum wells, quantum dots) of the III-V family, particularly arsenides, and of IV group. The results are published in about 100 papers on international journals.
