Registration Fees

The registration fees are established as follows:

 * Young scientists are: graduate and post-graduate students or PhD students (with a maximum age of 30 as to April 18th 2010), or post-doctoral fellows without a permanent position (with a maximum age of 35 as to April 18th 2010). Recipients of financial aid awards will be notified by February 28th 2010.

The registration fees include: participation to the School, lunches and coffee breaks from Monday 19th to Friday 23th, book of lessons plus teaching materials on CD. They do not include dinners and the travelling expenses.

Grants

The Organizing Committee is pleased to announce availability of a number of grants covering partly the registration fee (type I: 20 grants worth 200 euros each, sponsored by AIC) or travel/subsistence (type II: 10 grants worth 200 USD each, sponsored by IUCr) for young academic scientists. After having registered to the School, interested participants shall explicitly apply for a grant of type I or type II prior to February 15th 2010, by sending to aic-school@mater.unimib.it their Curriculum Vitae and a presentation letter signed by their tutor supporting and justifying the request. In general, the two types of grants will be considered mutually exclusive but, depending on the number of applicants, the Committee will decide upon the final distribution of grants.

WARNING  -  Participants applying for a grant must:

  1. Register to the School (by e-mail to aic-school@mater.unimib.it) sending also the filled in grant form. Late applications will not be considered.
  2. Pay the pertinent registration fee only after the grants allocation announcement is made, not later than February 28th, 2010, depending whether your request has been accepted or not (type I grants only).
  3. Please note: the recipients of a young scientist type II grant are required to create an entry in the World Database of Crystallographers (if not already present). The recipients have to go to http://www.iucr.org/people/wdc/ and to follow the link "Create a new entry", filling in, their professional details as fully as possible. Send us by email your IUCr ID.

To pay the registration fee, please place a bank transfer, within two weeks since the registration and after having received confirmation of the registration by School secretary to:

WARNING  -  Participants are expected to pay all bank transfer fees or exchange currency fees, which are not included in the registration fee. If the payment results incomplete, the balance will be requested at the Registration Desk.

After placing the bank transfer, please send a pdf copy to aic-school@mater.unimib.it by e-mail specifying “AIC-IUCr School 2010 Payment” in the subject field.
