Bachelor Degree Courses

Materials Science

The Bachelor Degree Course in Materials Science, providing basic scientific knowledge and knowledge about innovative processes and technologies, aims at forming graduates able to integrate themselves into productive or research realities in which two main problems are addressed: the improvement of the performance of existing materials (polymers, ceramics, glass, metals, composites, semiconductors) and the development of new materials for devices for the storage and supply of electricity and for sensors and detectors to be used in instrumental and industrial applications.

Chemical Science and Technology

The Bachelor Degree Course in Chemical Sciences and Technologies belongs to the Class L-27 - Chemical Sciences and Technologies and has a duration of three years. The Course represents the first university training cycle and aims to ensure the student an adequate mastery of basic scientific methods and contents, as well as the acquisition of specific professional knowledge. The Degree Course foresees a methodological and professional path differentiating in the program of the third year. The two paths have different teaching activities.
At the end of the studies the academic qualification of Doctor of Chemical Sciences and Technologies is conferred and, in the case of appropriately constructed study plans, the European Chemistry Eurobachelor® title.

Optics and Optometry

The Bachelor Degree Course in Optics and Optometry is a three-year course strongly oriented towards the profession of optometrist. The main objective is therefore providing the students with a basic knowledge in physics and chemistry, which can be a proper background for more technical subjects in the fields of optics, optometry, and contact lenses. The teaching organization of the course has been set with professional associations as consultants; several professors teaching the technical subjects come from those associations and work as optometrists.
