The academic platform dedicated to scientists Research.com recently published the 2023 Ranking of the Rising Stars of Science.
This ranking is based on data collected by Microsoft Academic Graph on 2022-12-21 on scientists from around the world whose oldest publication is no more than 12 years old. Ranking position is based on the individual scientist's H-index, but other criteria were considered. The method used to draw up the ranking can be consulted on Research.com.
Only the top 1000 with the highest H-index among the 166,880 scientists examined on Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic Graph appear in the ranking and among these Carlo Santoro, researcher of Chemical Engineering at the Department of Materials Science of the University of Milano-Bicocca, ranked 442nd overall and 9th in Italy.
