The Department of Materials Science at the University of Milano-Bicocca opens applications for the new edition of the Collaborative Research and Independence Promotion (CRIP) Prize, an initiative designed to foster new interdisciplinary collaborations across Department research groups while supporting the scientific independence and leadership of early-career researchers.
The 2026 call is open to teams involving members from at least two Department research groups. Junior Researchers (RTD-A), Research Fellows, holders of Research Contracts and University Postdoctoral Appointees are eligible to act as project leaders. Two projects will be funded, each receiving €3,000 to support research activities over an 18-month period.
With its new edition, the CRIP Prize continues to provide opportunities for new ideas, new scientific synergies and the development of independent research leadership, encouraging collaborations that bring together different expertise and perspectives across the Department.
Applications are open from 1 to 31 October 2026.
