Research Highlights: Xenon confinement in nanometric capsules

The research group of Prof. Angiolina Comotti, Prof. Piero Sozzani and Prof. Silvia Bracco has published an important paper concerning an experimetal strategy for the confinement of rare gases in nanometric capsules. The results of the research have been published on Angewandte Chemie Int. Ed. in a paper entitled “Tight Xenon Confinement in Crystalline Sandwich-like Hydrogen Bonded-Dimeric Capsule of a Cyclic Peptide" (https://doi.org/10.1002/anie.201906599).

This work is the result of a joint collaboration between the Department of Materials Science of University of Milano – Bicocca, Politecnico di Milano and the University of Santiago de Compostela.
