Anna Galli elected President of the Italian Association of Archaeometry (AIAr) for the 2026–2029 term

The Department of Materials Science of the University of Milano-Bicocca is pleased to announce the election of Prof. Anna Galli, Professor of Physics for Life Sciences, the Environment and Cultural Heritage, as President of the Italian Association of Archaeometry (AIAr) for the 2026–2029 term.

The election took place on February 6, 2026, during the General Assembly of members held in Pisa in the context of the AIAr National Congress, and represents an important recognition of Prof. Galli’s scientific, academic, and institutional career. For many years, she has been actively engaged in research, teaching, and collaboration with national and international institutions in the field of cultural heritage.

Founded in 1993, the Italian Association of Archaeometry (AIAr) aims to promote and develop research, educational, and professional activities for the study and preservation of Cultural Heritage by using scientific methods. The Association also fosters dialogue and collaboration between researchers from scientific and humanities disciplines, encouraging an interdisciplinary approach to the study, restoration, and conservation of cultural heritage.
