On May 29, 2024, the XVIII International Tecnovisionarie® Award ceremony, organized by Women&Tech® - Donne e Tecnologie – ETS, focused on the theme “Ecological Transition: Protagonists of a New Water Culture.” The event aimed to highlight the fundamental role of women in innovation and sustainable management of water resources.
Dr. Raziyeh Akbari, a postdoctoral researcher from the Department of Materials Science at the University of Milano-Bicocca, was selected for this award, on the basis of her research activity on water harvesting from atmospheric fog, in scope of the WaterHaB project (Engineering Bio-Inspired Atmospheric Water Harvesters through Fog Collection with Badgir Architecture).
The ceremony was held in Regione Lombardia, during which Dr. Raziyeh Akbari received the award from Fiorenzo Galli, General director of the Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia of Milan.
