New prototypes of fuel cells for the automotive sector
The COP21 Paris agreement provides for 100 million electric vehicles to circulate in 2030 (electric vehicles, EVs, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, PHEVs, fuel cell electric vehicles, FC). Proton conduction polymeric fuel cells (PEMFCs) or anionic (AEMFCs) operating at temperatures between 50 ° C and 150 ° C are undoubtedly of great interest for possible applications in the transport sector.

Single-atom catalysts for click chemistry reactions
Quick and clean chemical reactions limiting the usage of toxic or hazardous reactants and solvents, enabled by innovative single-atom catalysts. A team of researchers from the Materials Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Department (Politecnico di Milano) and the Quantum Chemistry Laboratory at the Department of Materials Science (University of Milano-Bicocca) reached this goal.
